Our goal regarding the navigation and design of this website was to make it easy to navigate and pleasant to read. We achieved this by using a sleek design with a central reading area with a white background. We also used a layout that placed items in locations most Internet users nowadays expect. But we also made sure we added enough small deviations from the norm to make it interesting and new. People like change but not too much at a time. At least most.
The screen is divided into 5 distinct areas:
The top area consists of three sub section. As expected our logo is in the top left corner. Click it and you'll get back to the home page of the site. On the right you see an ever changing array of quotes. Click on the read more link to get some feedback on the quote.
In the middle is the top menu. It contains just three links.
On the left is the Main Menu. This menu is always available.
On the right is a context driven menu with on top a search function. Most people expect a search function on the right side.
In the example you see the menu that will become available when
clicking on the left menu Management of Projects under Essential Elements.

In the middle is the main screen. It contains 4 sub sections The two top ones show the articles that are read most and that are most recently placed on the site.
Below that is the area mostly referred to as the breadcrumbs. It tells you where you are in the site.
Under that is the main area of the site.
On the bottom of the screen is the footer menu.
It contains two links. One of them you used to get to the section you're currently reading.
